Strategy and technology in connected cars

Connectivity is a game changer for the car industry, with a potential to not only offer entertainment, but new services, new business models, and ultimately change how we perceive our commute. The eco system is rapidly changing with both Google and Apple entering the domain. Martin Kristensson, Director of Connectivity Strategy, talks about how strategy and technology choices have made Volvo a forerunner for connected cars – and what lies ahead.

Martin is the Director Connectivity Strategy at Volvo Car Group, and is responsible for defining and aligning Volvo’s strategy for connected cars across the organization.

Martin has a MSc degree in Computer Science and a background in mobile services, mobile commerce, and business development. With fifteen years of experience from connected services and three years from automotive, he is internationally recognized as a connected car expert.
