ElectriCity - Platform for Innovation - a Collaboration

ElectriCity is a cooperative venture bringing together industry, research and society in the development and testing of new solutions for next-generation sustainable public transport. The new 55 bus route offers quiet, exhaust- free buses that pick up passengers indoors and are powered by electricity from renewable sources. ElectriCity Innovation Platform has been created to facilitate the development of products and services within ElectriCity. New, open, real time data from the buses on route 55 can be accessed via the platform. To further stimulate innovation more sensors and data sources will be added over time.

To generate innovations that can contribute to making tomorrow’s bus trips more attractive the Electricity Innovation Challenge 2015 - EIC2015 -  is taking place between Sept 18th and Oct 21st. The goal is to develop prototypes than can be exposed and tested live on the 55 bus route after the challenge. The winners of EIC2015 will be presented at the end of this session.
