VICTA lab, supporting the vehicle software eco-system

viktoria_kenneth_lind.jpgVICTA lab located at Lindholmen Science Park is a common test environment that is open for all users, with simulators for the entire electrical system in a vehicle and its surroundings. A possibility to demonstrate and verify solutions in a reference architecture in a cost-effective way. Both Volvo Cars (VCG) and Volvo Trucks (VTGG) are behind the initiation of this lab. The goal is to find new and innovative ways of producing software for the automotive industry by permitting access to platforms that are available in vehicles today. VICTA lab is an important complement to other open test environments such as VTI’s driving simulator SIM4 at Lindholmen and the full-scale test track AstaZero. This talk will describe how VICTA lab can help new players such as third party software developers, researchers, and students to participate in the vehicle software eco-system.
