Who are you?
"My background is in information science and informatics, although all my work the last 15 years have exclusively been on IT in mobile healthcare settings and involves everything from early stage research and development projects to hands-on applications, development of infrastructure such as testbeds, and clinical implementations. I currently work at Lindholmen Science Park as assistant program manager of the Prehospital ICT Arena, and I am also director of the Prehospen Centre for Prehospital Research at University of Borås."
What will you talk about at Lindholmen Software Development day?
"I will talk about the clinical implementation of video in mobile healthcare. In the project ViPHS - Video Support in Prehospital Stroke - we use video to extend the expertise of stroke physicians beyond hospitals and out to the ambulances in the surrounding region. I will talk about the challenges of implementing what is in fact a quite simple technology application in complex, distributed, healthcare ecosystems, and how we worked to make this happen."
Why do you think it is important to be a part of an event like Lindholmen Software Development Day?
"I think it is important to meet, discuss and share our experiences so that we can learn from each other how to move this field forward, which we all do by exchanging ideas!"
